Good Riddance, Hurricane Iota!

Rebuilding begins immediately in the hard-hit
city of Bilwi on the Caribbean side of Nicaragua.

Nicaragua was recently hit by two back-to-back devastating hurricanes. Iota was the 30th named one of year 2020.  If ever there was a case for understanding how the most vulnerable are affected by a myriad of injustices, this might be it. I am sharing just a few photos so you can see the impact. Climate change is very real, and something must be done before we destroy our one planet.

This man lost his wife and small child to a mudslide.
1. Church on Caribbean side of Central America before the hurricane.
2. The same church as rains continue.
3. The church is completely submerged.

Also, if you are wondering how this is related to my blog, keep reading!  Fast fashion is a dangerous trend with profound negative effects on the environment, human rights, and more.

When I dedicated myself to more sewing, I had no idea about all this waste and exploitation.

I will not overwhelm you now, but just hint at what you will be learning discreetly if you follow me.

If will not be doom and gloom, but rather a fun way to create and sew.

Hasta pronto = See you soon!
