#3: Easy One Pattern Piece Blouse

This blouse was a big surprise hit when I posted it on my Facebook page! It was a simple pattern that I drew for myself, but I am happy to share it. Granted, this pattern is quite rustic and for sizes 12 – 16. It is not available in PDF format, so use the drawing below as your guide.

It is only one pattern piece but the front neckline must be cut 2 inches lower than the back neckline. The length can be made according to your desire, but remember to factor in your hip measurements if it is a longer blouse.

#3: Upcycled Jean Pocket Angels

1. Cut the back pocket loose from the jeans and very close to the seams.

2. Fold in half, down the center of the pocket.

3. Fold again in the middle, on either side of the center fold.

4. Fold once again on either side.

5. Secure the folds together. (stitch, staple, or string)

6. Fold down the top to resemble the wings and secure.

You can use a stapler to fold and hold down seam to look like a collar.

    5. Attach a wooden ball (or Styrofoam) with wire or glue.

     6. Add a wire hangar to hang from tree.

Optional: paint a face, add hair, a hem, or other decorations.
